I just got a new Axim x51v, I've been moving over to it from a Palm T|C and a TX. Is there a way to get all my tasks to be displayed on my Today screen, such that if I tap on a task, it allows me to check it and/or to add a new task? On the TX, I was using TodayPLUS (http://www.blueguild.net/) to do this and am hoping there's something similar on the PPC.

Also, is it just me or is the WM5 OS fairly unstable? About once a day I have to hit the reset button, and it seems to lose contact with my SD card fairly often (which causes my ereader books to get messed up and such)...

Thanks,
/tk

Lots of options you have there, some free, some not. The consensus best is Pocket Breeze (http://www.sbsh.net). A quick search through Handango or Pocket Gear will yield quite a few more possibilities, and you might want to try PocketPCFreewares (http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com) for freeware alternatives.

I don't find it that unstable; I don't usually soft-reset more than once a week. However, there is an issue with WM5 losing contact with SD cards when powered off. This doesn't affect functionality unless you leave programs that are accessing the SD card running when the device is turned off. See this thread (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=44488) for details and workarounds.

I don't like a lot of busy-ness on my Today screen, so I use a freeware plug-in that mimics the built-in Tasks item, except it allows for showing (and hiding) your tasks in a list, and checking them off from the Today screen:

Pocket Breeze is excellent. Enjoy your PPC, I moved from a T5, and haven't looked back.
