RAM (http://www.ram-mount.com/products/motorcycles.htm) has mortorcycle mounts for just about anythng. Would a scooter be closer to a motorcycle or a bicycle?

Hey

I saw those, they were the ONLY one i could find while looking on the net.

I am in australia, and i was unable to locate any local dealers, they also look a bit more full on(expensive), and my main concern is i could not find any that are for my pda(lots of ipaq brackets though) even though they have a universal one, it would be a hassle if it didnt find properly.

my scooter is closer to a motorcycle.

You can see it at www.vmoto.com.au - products - milan

Take a look at Otterbox and RAM Mounts. Otterbox sells PDA cases and handlebar mounts. The handlebar mounts are made by RAM Mounts and there are a lot of different options from RAM Mounts if the Otterbox mount is not sufficient. Be wary of "bicycle" vs "motorcycle" mounts due to the difference in vibration. Also, be aware of exactly which pieces you are getting if you split your order between the two. I think the mount from Otterbox comes with the PDA "Cradle" that appears to be customized to the Otterbox 1900.

I own the Otterbox 1900 and handlebar mount for my Loox 720 on my bicycle. Works great for podcasts!

I also bought a 1 foot audio "extender" (actually, volume control) that I plug into the PDA and stick out the end of the Otterbox. I then plug my headphones into that. This is essentially a "strain relief" so I don't yank my ears off my head during a fall.

Hey

I was unable to find motorcycle mounts on that site, could you give me a link?

I also just emailed RAM asking about my certain pda.

I wish there was one that was made specifically for my pda... then i would buy it without hesitation

Good choice going with the Navigator 5! Did you consider taking a look at the TomTom Rider? It's one of their devices that's designed specifically for bikers? Its got the proper mounts, special touch screens (for use with gloved fingers) and the same maps that the Nav 5 has.

Maybe try looking at something like http://www.clubtomtom.com/ for ideas for mounting?
