View Full Version : Any Free Visual Basic Tools?

OK, I've done a bit of VB in the past, but it's been awhile. I recently wanted to play around at makking a couple of extremely simple utilities for myself, stuff just a couple steps above Hello World.

I own NO developer tools. No Visual Studio, etc. I found Microsoft had free downloads of VC++ so I played around with that for a few days. In the end I was left with a greater appreciation for those who really can program C++ and without any interest in beating my head against that wall any further. Are there any current free tools for Visual Basic?

There's no way I'd spend much of anything to do the "hobby programming" I want to. I'm wondering if Microsoft has strategically "end-of-lifed" VB for PPC and isn't giving away the tools anymore, or if I just couldn't find them.

Any help would be much appreciated!
