Is there software that will control my PPC from my desktop keyboard and mouse other than Rover?
I tried Rover, and it works well, but I just dont think its worth the price that they are asking for it.

None that I'm aware of. There are free, open-source concept applications floating around, but none support Pocket PCs at this stage.
