Hello,
I would like to ask for a help from somebody who understand Windows TCP/IP stack.
The problem is that I have recently started using Windows Mobile 5.0 device (i-mate JAMin). It requires ActiveSync 4.X. When I synchronize using USB, it creates a network connection dynamically. If I'm connected to the VPN at the same time (Nortel Connectivity VPN Client V04_06.51), the VPN connection breaks. It gives the message that network routing has been changed. I can synchronize after that. Also I can re-connect to VPN (even without disconnecting the device). VPN connection breaks when I disconnect the device also. It is frustrating that I have to re-connect, specially taking into account that I have to go though generation of one time passwords each time.
This problem doesn't take place when synchronizing over Bluetooth - apparently COM port synchronization as opposed to USB synchronization is not using network connection.
So, if somebody knows the way around it, I would appreciate if you let me know.
BTW, I have read Microsoft's (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/help/activesync/default.mspx) and Chris De Herrera's (http://www.pocketpcfaq.com/faqs/activesync/tshoot-as4x.htm) about this problem and have not found the answer. Fomr perspective of the problems, which I described there, I should be blessed that it is working at all.
