Welcome to Pocket PC Thoughts. Are you referring to Today themes, Windows Media skins, or something else?

If it's a Today theme, all you need to do is copy the theme file (.TSK file) to a folder of your choice (usually, \My Documents), then launch the Today applet in Start > Settings, select the theme, and press OK.

If it's a Windows Media skin, you'll find that most are usually compressed as a ZIP file. Unzip it, and copy the folder of skin files to \Program Files\Windows Media Player. Next, launch Windows Media Player, close the library, select Menu > Options > Skins, then find the skin you just installed and press OK.

Sorry it was windos media skins. I copied the folders to the windows media folder and can see them just can't get them to load. They are in the folder but, when I go to change skins, the only thing available is the defalt that came with ppc?

Unfortunately, not all Windows Media skins are compatible with Windows Media Player 10 Mobile (the version being used by your Axim X51v), hence why some refuse to appear in the Skins menu.

This is often caused by outdated code, broken code, or misplaced headers. Do you have a URL to the skin you're trying to install? Perhaps I could look at it and see what the problem is.

Also, if you visit our Downloads forum, (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=59) you'll find a Pocket PC Thoughts skin for Windows Media Player 10 Mobile. Are you able to get that one working?

I had this problem too. Your skin worked fine, but the skins from Microsoft's own website didn't work. any ideas where a guy who doesn't want to make this own, can get more?

You can visit PocketGear (http://www.pocketgear.com/) and search the Skins (http://www.pocketgear.com/software_browse.asp?cat=101) section. You can also use the search field to look up "Windows Media Player Skins". Do note that some are free, and some aren't.
