Windows Mobile partnerships in Taiwan now include BenQ, Quanta Computer, Compal Communications, High Tech Computer (HTC), Asustek Computer, Chi Mei Communication Systems, Kinpo Electronics, Mitac International, and Gigabyte Communications, Wu noted."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/wey-20051118-WM.gif" /><br /><br />Over the past three years, the number of Windows Mobile device manufacturers has blossomed, with Taiwan-based Inventec Appliances and Arima Communications being the latest additions. Looking at the figures, I say, "the more, the merrier". There is nothing like greater product range to go with strengthened global commitment to the Windows Mobile platform.

Put on your conspiracy theorist hats; Palm just recently announced it was choosing Inventec to manufacture current and upcoming products. An indication of more Windows Mobile devices to come?

I recall reports stating that the Palm-Inventec deal would be focused more on Palm OS than Windows Mobile. I may be wrong, though.

Anyway, at least we have this (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=46258) to look forward to.

Yes, you are right. Now we can have plethora of devices to chose from already. iMATE/O2/Qtek are releasing great devices almost after a month or so. :) Not to forget HP(yeah it is a 'bit' slow)
