I’ve been looking for this and I can’t find it. I need a simple MP3 editor to trim, extract, split and join MP3 files. Resco Adudio Recorder can extract parts of a file but it is slow, unstable and far from accurate. Vito Sound Explorer does not offer editing tools and Vito Sound Editor does not work with MP3 files.

I’m a journalist. I record interviews into a miniSD card through a high quality Digital Voice Recorder. I then plug the card into my Pocket PC Phone and send the files to the newsroom via GPRS or WiFi. But the files are sometimes too long. I need to find something to extract sound bites from the files or, at least, split them into smaller parts.

I’d really appreciate some help, advice or directions.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm looking for a Pocket PC application. Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm looking for a Pocket PC application that I can run in my Pocket PC Phone. Actually, the guys at NCH have a PPC dictation program with editing capabilities, but again… no MP3 editing, just their own propietary format.

Any other suggestion?

A while ago, I compiled a list of audio applications for the Pocket PC. I have not tested them, but if you find anything here that works for you, please let me know:
