I tried to change the sound files of my HP Ipaq 3115 so that it would sound different when I did different things. Like when you change your PC's Desktop Theme. The Start Menu and other items have new sounds. I made the sounds and renamed them to the same file names then copied over the old files in the Windows Directory. Yes I copied the old files first. Yet when I tried it out it still used the old sounds. So I did a reboot using the reset button. Still a no go. Is there a way to get it to use the new sounds? I made several sets of sounds for my PDA. These include ones for Star Wars, Scoobydoo and others. The sounds that Windows Mobil uses are boring and I'd like to spice it up. Any help would be great!
