Missing eWallet 4.1 "Compress" Feature [Axim X51/WM5]

I noticed that eWallet 4.1's "compress database" (Tools > Compress) feature is gone when I installed in my less-than-a-week-old Axim X51 (WM5). It was there when I was still using iPAQ h4150 (WM2003) last week. Now my eWallet database is getting bigger and bigger and I can't compress it. Anyone has this issue and found any solution? :|

But I don't have that menu in my eWallet 4.1 running on WM5. Are you using eWallet 4.1 with WM5 too?

Hi,

The reason is that eWallet automatically compacts the wallet file on a regular basis. The command was a hold-over from a time when this wasn't the case. As we move forward we like to phase out unecessary menu items, particularly with the tight restrictions on menu length for WM 5.0 devices.

Thanks for the clarification. It's nice to see software developers at enthusiasts sites helping out as well. Anyway, what's the threshold (duration since last compaction, database size, etc) before eWallet 4.1 (WM5) automatically starts compacting the databases?
