I need to produce a 'video' of my PPC application running to demonstrate to University exam board. What is the best tool for capturing *movies* of PPC applications? I ned to be able to show video and animations playing, hence I really do mean 'video', and not just screen captures.

I already have the following tools to hand, but I want to know if there is a better option for capturing the animation in real time.

1, Virtual CE Pro. This lets me 'remote-control' the PPC from the PC, and take movies *and* screen captures of the PPC screen. Movies are max 4 frames per second.

2, Camtasia - will take scren movies of any part of my PC screen, so I could use in conjunction with Virtual CE Pro to get a slightly better capture of the video/animations.

3, Captivate - makes screen movies easy, but you cannot force it to record animation.

I am sure that, with some combination of the three tools above I will manage to get what I need, but if someone can recommend a tool that will allow me to capture real-time animations and movies form the PDA screen I'm sure it will be a big time-saver and I'd be very grateful.

Pocket Controller-Professional by SOTI is what I've used for a couple of years now.

It allows you to control and capture both full motion video and screenshots on Pocket PC and smartphones.

Excellent program!

I read the review from Menneisyys

... interestingly he used Snagit to make videos to demonstrate what was going on at one stage. I'm left wondering if I would get the best results for my needs with the software I already have. If you are listening, Menneisyys, I'd welcome your opinion.
