Hello,

I am living in Canada, and I am wondering how can I get a UTStarcom XV6700:

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

You will need to purchase the UTStarcom 6700 from Telus at the moment. It is a wonderful phone, and I believe that it is also the best PDA I've had. Great keyboard!

I would check eBay. There are a few up there now. Good luck.

Bell Mobility are apparently releasing it soon as well.

Watch if you buy one on Ebay, that it is from the Telus network, since CDMA devices are locked to their carrier. If you get one that came from Sprint or Verison you won't be able to use it on Telus or Bell Mobility.

What if I buy it from Telus. Is it locked? And if it is, how much it costs to unlock it?

Thanks.

CDMA devices don't work that way. Sorry. You can't just get an unlock code. CDMA carriers really dislike using a device on their network that isn't theirs. If you intend to use it in Canada and don't want to use Telus, I think that pretty much leaves Bell mobility, and as I mentioned they are supposed to be announcing the 6700 very soon.
