<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.slysoft.com/en/clonedvd-mobile.html' target='_blank'>http://www.slysoft.com/en/clonedvd-mobile.html</a><br /><br /></div><i>"CloneDVD mobile converts your DVD movies quickly and easily into a format that your portable device (Sony PSP, Apple iPod Video, iAudio X5, Creative Labs ZEN Vision, etc) can play. You can also convert your DVDs to other file formats, such as DivX, XviD, AVI, MP4, etc. With CloneDVD mobile you can put your favourite movies or TV series on your mobile video equipment and watch them wherever and whenever you want. Let the kids watch their favourite cartoons in the car. Incorporating the user-friendly interface of Elby's CloneDVD and the well-engineered open source project FFmpeg as the conversion engine makes CloneDVD mobile a fast, easy-to-use and quality product that is very reasonably priced."</i><br /><br />I've been using another SlySoft product, AnyDVD, for a few weeks now and the word "fantastic" doesn't begin to describe how cool it is. CloneDVD Mobile is an evolution of the core technology in that product, and it looks equally impressive. MGN has <a href="http://www.mobilegadgetnews.com/index.php?act=ST&f=102&t=10950&st=0#entry47270">published a review</a> of the product, and while the review is more Smartphone-focused, it's worth checking out.<br /><br /><b>UPDATE:</b> I was incorrect insofar as the core CloneDVD Mobile product does not copy encrypted DVDs, so you'll need <a href="http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html">AnyDVD</a> as well for that, or find some other way to feed it decrypted VOB files.

Do you think this this better than Pocket PC Studio? I'm very impressed with that.

It won't conver CSS encrypted disks (i.e. most commercially avaiable disks) You could de - CSS; but that adds time and hassle.

Oh. Hrm. I assumed it would include AnyDVD:

Bad assumption on my part, my apologies. Although considering that both are $39, I guess it makes sense.

So to get the real end-to-end solution, you'd need both products.

Worth checking out their "bundle" prices on their website, you can get AnyDVD and others for around 23 dollars each I think. Great products, great support and regular updates. A good investment I've been a long time user.

Not only that, but their updates are priced just right(free)! :)

I also very much like how often they update their applications - they're very aggressive about improving their products. Though I do wish there was a better update mechanism in place rather than downloading the entire thing again every time. :?

I'm a big fan of Slysoft as well - I started using the CloneCD product (originally from Elaborate Bytes) long before Slysoft picked up the rights to the application. Since they've been at the wheel, they've been quick to address new encryption schemes as they hit the market (which is great since I like using VirtualCloneDrive to keep from swapping CDs every time I'm switching between games/applications that require the disc to be inserted).

I love AnyDVD above and beyond any other product I've run across for one key reason - It lets you choose to trim out those mandatory, annoying movie trailers that more and more DVDs seem to be forcing you to watch.

So... I'll give the mobile a shot. I wish it had come out ages ago, though. I see that they now have bundle prices... Early adoption ate my bank account yet again :/

Thankfully, we haven't got the mandatory trailers yet in the UK. If I bought a DVD and found it had mandatory trailers, I'd return it to the shop. We already pay through the nose for DVDs in the UK and I'm not prepared to pay to sit through adverts.

I've been using AnyDVD for about a year now and it's become a part of my core PC apps &amp; tools that almost always get installed anytime I'm working with a new PC.

I recall looking into their CloneDVD product a while back b/c there were promotions available that bundled both CloneDVD and AnyDVD. I decided to just go for AnyDVD b/c it was arguably the best at what it does, but the same couldn't be said for CloneDVD.

That said, I've been impressed with how frequent updates come from Slysoft. It's apparent that they put a lot of time and effort into perfecting their products and that by itself, could make CloneDVD a product worth having.

i like SlySoft's products very much - i have the original CloneCD, and through a bundle purchase, I now have AnyDVD (which handless the de-CSS part, and getting rid of those "regions"), and CloneDVD (which is perfect for making backup of software DVDs, etc.)...

unfortunately, though i have a big discount off CloneDVD Mobile - hhhmmmm... though i have a WM5-device (Japan's first smartphone - the W-ZERO3), and an Axim x50v (WM2003SE), plus a PSP with 2GB card; im still having second thoughts - you still cannot SELECT subtitles...

*bummer*

maybe in an early future release, ie., i get free updates!!!

Thanks for the link to the CloneDVD mobile review. From the review I see there is a coupon code mobilegadget good through 2/25/06 that gives a nice discount on Clone stuff. I am very impressed with AnyDVD. It intergrates perfectly with the DVD mobile. Also I see Clone released an update to Clone DVD mobile on 2/12/06.

Here I thought I was the only one interested in CloneDVD mobile. I created a post on 3FEB06. Sixty-six looked at it not one response. I thought oh well. J.D. posts it and people start talking about. * sniff * I’ll be okay. Just leave me be for a while.

Well, I've moved it to the multimedia forum, which is far more appropriate for it. ;-)

That coupon code will save you $5. I received an email from Slysoft Infoservice with a different coupon code which saved me $15. If you already have their products, check your inboxes. They have sent a coupon to their “loyal customers”.

I’m just not sure if I should post the coupon code or not. Anyone think they will know the difference?

I initially bought AnyDVD to get past all the lock codes, CSS and encryption on my DVD's, which I wanted to make backup copies of.

Later I bought their Clone products.

They sent me a demo link for their new Mobile DVD Clone. I tried it out and it worked GREAT, as all their products do. I cloned my Men In Black DVD into a 450MB AVI file and it works GREAT.

So pleased I paid the $20 or less for the product [discount given to me, a long time customer]. Forgot what price was, but it was cheap.

I too like Slysoft's constant updates. I have all their programs set to notify me of updates and seems they are always improving their software.

Now what I need is a player for my Pocket PC 2003 edition, Dell Axim X50V, that plays AVI files. Anyone know of a good player for such? I can't seem to find one.

I have DIVX Pro, Pocket TV, and Windows Media Player, but none of those play AVI files, AFAIK.

Right after I posted, I found that program and used it. GREAT. Thanks for the reply.

I have it posted on another thread for download, as a single file.
