It offers plenty of new feature enhancements and bug fixes, and most importantly, official support for Windows Mobile 5.0. It's a free update for all v2.x users. First time users can download a free trial version, or purchase the full version for $9.99 from Handango. I am happy with the new release. It fixes the problems of phone editions.
Though I'm a registered user of it, I still uninstalled it because it takes too much of program memory, esp on non-WM5 devices.

But, still, I recommend it to the one who is really serious about the customisation.

The latest release runs great on my i730 (WM 2003 SE). I have it installed to SafeStore in order to save memory resources.

My two favorite enhancements (in addition to general performance):
1. The ability to map the notification dialog ballon to a hardware and/or menu button.
2. The ability to map OK/Close to a hardware and/or menu button.

Great job Chris (developer).

Maybe it's just me, but the download part of the Lakeridge site is the slowest thing I've ever used on the web. My download speed drops from 200 k/s down to 6, and then dries up before I can download anything fully. Not the first time I've had this problem - bit frustrating, especially as Wisbar 2 is the first thing I install. Great software, poor download service.

Yeah, it is slow. The WM2003SE CAB took about 8 minutes over my DSL/Wi-Fi connection in Pocket IE. But it did complete, first try.

Something I like very much is that my settings were all preserved with the overwrite installation. Didn't have to change a thing, after exiting Wisbar then tapping the new CAB.

Hey Darius -

Thanks for the update on this product - it's nice to see small companies supporting WM5 - I only wish that bigger companies like Dell and Microsoft would support WM5 on the Dell Axim x50v...

I know what you meant when you said official support for WM5 - but I think it might be important to note which WM5 PDAs can run this software - or even getting a list of "working" WM5 PDAs would be a great help.

If I ever get WM5 working on my Axim, I may buy this product.

It is not usually as slow as it has been but due to a major release with WM5.0 support, I am sure Lakeridge's servers are taking a massive hit from both existing users and new users trying to download. Not only is the word out here but at Aximsite and several other popular gathering places for ppc users.

It isn't server load. I was on their site at 4AM Eastern U.S. time today and it took 30 minutes to download the CAB file over high speed internet. I think telephone dial-up was faster !

This is one of a select few MUST HAVE programs on my Axim X50. I've been with them thru several PPC devices. It's worth every penny !

4AM Eastern is about 3PM-4PM here in East Asia, and about 8AM-10AM in Europe - WA2 has a pretty strong following internationally. So yes, it could be server load.

I have read everyone elses replies and it seems I am alone here. This software is just dreadfull. I have installed it on my wifes O2 Atom and it runs like a dog and has stalled the whole unit. This is one I wont be buying.

WA2 is working great on my PPC. The website is just slow at times. It's a great piece of software I wouldn't be without but each is free to decide.

 Serves me right for not reading the compatible devices list. The Atom was not listed
