hello, i am using outlook xp and i am trying to sync my contacts and calendar. when i sync my calendar does get copied, but my contacts on my desktop disappear. likewise i had contacts on my ipaq h5550 and those disappeared? i want to be able to input onto my desktop and sync to my pda. i am using pocket pc 2003. thanks

when in sync mode i right click to get to settings and it says no settings neccessary because on the server??? i am not on a server? i just want to sync my contacts and calendar from the hard drive. help PLEASE

It sounds like when you set up the ActiveSync partnership you told it you were synching against an Exchange server. Try deleting the partnership, connect again, and tell it you have no Exchange server.
