Anyone know of a utility for removing duplicate appointments? Had to establish a new ActiveSync partnership recently and while sync'ing AS noted duplicate appointments and contacts were present. I opted for one set only but ended up with 99% of 2005 in duplicate anyway. Thanks !

Seconded - that app has saved my sanity many times.

Tried the app and it froze the PC after it was processing for about 5 minutes. Rebooted and it did the same on try #2. Oh well, manual deletion on the PPC will give me something to do when I'm bored.

SK Tools also identifies and deletes duplicates. It costs $9 but is worth every penny of it for the other things it keeps clean as well.

I also recommend WebIS Toolbox (http://www.webis.net/products_info.php?p_id=time&dir=wm). Its contact remover capabilities are (or, at least, were - SKTools is being developed and enhanced by leaps and bounds and I don't know whether its duplication remving capabilities are far better than half a year before when I thoroughly tested and compared it to the alternatives (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=360617)).

Also see this thread (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=42955) on this subject.

It does tend to choke on too many records.

What you could do is instead of just selecting all personal folders (the default), delete duplicates for each sub-folder instead. This cuts down on the number of records the app has to deal with at one go.
