Syncing TV Shows

I'd like to get my PC to download a TV version of the news and then when I pop my device into the cradle it syncs the program. Is there anything that will do thatt out there?

Yup, it's called a Media Center Edition 2005 PC. ;-)

If you mean downloaded news via the Web, you'll need to transcode it somehow. Windows Media Player 10 should be able to do that for you.

I guess what I was after was something that snatched web news streams so that I could watch them on the way to work. (Metro so no GPRS).

Well, if you can find a source of news that uses RSS and enclosures, you can download the content and WMP10 will transcode the content for you. The hard part is finding the content that you want. Maybe something like this is the solution:
