Making the PPC overwrite the desktop PC

I had to do a restore operation today using Sprite Backup's restore function. When I try to sync, ActiveSync only offers the option to 'combine data' but not have the PPC overwrite the desktop. Will I end up with double contacts and appointments if I choose 'combine data'? The other choices are to let the PC overwrite the PPC or do nothing. Many thanks !

You might want to create a new partnership. That worked for me in the past.

What I've always done is let the datasets combine, then run an Outlook duplicate records remover. There's never been an option to let the PDA overwrite the PC in cases like these.
