Literally can't tell you since I don't think I've ever needed it. But I guess if you're doing training on a new device (That can't have it's screen projected any other way) or want to show off cool hardware buttons (That you don't have a picture of) this $199 device could be just what you're looking for.

oh golly.

I suppose *someone* wanted to demonstrate the phone screen without the need for a cheap software option.

Free medical advice while presenting is as good a reason as any you'll find for this thing, I suppose.
