Is there a way to play SWF files on a Treo 650? I just picked one up last week and was trying to get some game files I have in this format.

Funny - I thought there was a Flash 5 player for Palm, but there is none listed on the Macromedia (Adobe) web site.

http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/alternates/

I found this http://www.eti.hku.hk/eti/web/p_s_flash_on_plam.html but it looks like it's Flash 4 only. Might as well by a dumb phone ... oops Smart Phone and get Flash Lite support.

I thought it was a forum for all Treo's. Of course, more so for the new 700w, but we can all share our experiences and info here. The more support we can give for Treo owners the better I say.

I'm going to check out that Flash player and see if it works on my 650. Thanks again.

I used to be a Palm user, and I still follow both platforms pretty closely... for the most part, there is no Flash player for Palm.

I have not seen that linked site before, and it does intrigue me, but it makes me nervous that the site not only has a typo in its *URL* but is also based out of Hong Kong (no offense intended to any culture, just not a good sign statistically).

Clies used to come with a program called Picsel Viewer, which allowed them to view many native formats that were not supported by most Palm programs. The Clies are gone in the US now, of course, but apparently Picsel's contract with Sony finally expired, and they are preparing to release a new program that can view many formats, possibly including SWF, on Palm.

I checked their web site and had difficulty finding any information about this product, even though I have seen it before, but oddly I noticed that apparently Palm used a Picsel-based PDF viewer for the Treo 700w, even though it is Windows based.
