When I saw res: 240 x 240 I almost buckled over. What the hell can I do with 240 x 240.

Well, I'm going to go and buy one tomrrow. Hopefully then I can figure out what the story is with the memory on this thing.

It does seem odd that they mention Storage space, but not the amount of Program RAM. That would be like Dell announcing a new PC with a 60 GB hard drive and not saying how much RAM is included. We'll find out tomorrow I guess.

Well, big surprise here...they tout the fact the device is released early, but hey, that's because they left out all those pesky "enterprise" features that were supposedly the driving force behind this product:

No push email, no security, no policy enforcement....

Strange how no one seems to notice the obvious stuff.

According to Palm's website: "Note: The picture above shows the option to sync Tasks with the Exchange Server. This feature is not available on the smartphone out-of-the-box, but may become available through a software update. Check Palm Support for updates."

MAY become available!?!? Unbelievable...

Well I dont think that wma ringtone support will be omitted. I guess its still there. May be it has been omitted by the company

Anyway a great device for the normal user and not for the power user
(coz of resultion thing)..just think of editing a spreadsheet on it

Sunny

:| That's weird. WM5 has task sync support built-in. Maybe they were referring to the fact that Exchange SP2 has to be installed?

The problem with the MSFP/true push is that Verizon probably has to "certify" it, which is known to take time. :? Let's hope it's sooner than later.

To me it smells like another Windows Mobile fiasco a la MPX or HP!!! :(

It seems that Palm put in 32MB RAM (if they actually put in 64MB the OS is taking up alot), so I am waiting for Leonard over at PPCTechs to offer a 64MB RAM upgrade and be the first. My Treo 700w arrives tomorrow :)

Well, I picked mine up this evening. It sure does appear the device only has 32MB of RAM for running programs. The device is very fast when using apps. I did get the available RAM down to <3MB by doing some IE browsing. Why O why would they put such a small amount of memory in this thing!?!?! :(
