i use static IP setup for my home wifi LAN , everytime i need to connect to hotspots i must go to network cards setup and change to DHCP , then again set all params back when at home.

is there a program/utility/shortcut method that save LAN params ??

Thanks

Have you given thought to doing it the other way around? What I've done with my network is to set my PDA to DHCP, but I set my router to hand out a static IP based on the MAC address.

i have an old wired router and a wireless AP , i don't think this is possible.
also i like to have everything as permanent static ip on my home Lan for
all my pc/ppc/ap etc , this makes it easy for troubleshooting (i'm a bit network-challanged).

anyway thanks , it's a good suggestion .

it's just strange that no developer thought of incorporating the Lan params saving feature in their software.
