hi i am thinking of buying x51v and i am looking for a powered gps car mount mainly to reduce the amount of wires in my car.which ones would u recommend?

I don't necessarily know if powered will reduce the number of wires.
I would look at Ram mounts.
I just got the universal for my 2750.
They have lots of different parts to configure the best solution as well.

With the X51's you have to watch out that the car converter puts out at least 1 amp so that the PDA will charge and operate at the same time. I think most other PDA's only require .85 amp. The Arkon unit does not say what the output is but is enough for the sound amplifier and operating the PDA.

The Arkon unit outputs a current ranging between 0 to 2.5A, depending on the device's requirements. It's certainly enough for the X51v.
