Hi all

Apologies if this is a FAQ, I’ve searched on here and google but I can't faq’in find an answer ;)

Anyone know how to delete or edit categories in contacts or calendar in WM5? I must be blind as I can’t see how to do it.

I only know how to add my own. Cant edit or delete them. It may be possible in Outlook on the desktop. Edit\delete then do a sync. But I cant try it because I dont have Outlook installed on my desktop.

Have you seen this page? http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/help/pocketpc/setupcategories.mspx

I'll take a look at that.

I have now and the last paragraph says:

Categories are shared between your appointments, Contacts, and Tasks. A category will remain in the list of shared categories as long as it is assigned to at least one appointment, contact, or task.

Many thx for that, I'll have a play.

Didn't see this topic before - yes, you can definitely edit categories on Outlook on the desktop. I use it quite extensively. Alternatively, both Pocket Informant and Agenda Fusion have their own category managers.

A good reason for me to install it then :)

Your welcome and good luck. A further search on google for editing the shared categories may help also.
