So I broke my screen and I need to fix it and my friend has an old 1910 lying around, can that screen be used on the 1940?

Yes, I believe it's the same size. Replacing an LCD is tricky though - you may want to consider sending it off to www.pocketpctechs.com to get it done.

Are you sure that you can use the full lcd/digitizer from a h1910/1915 in a 1940/45 model? I remember a long time ago people said you couldunt, however I could be wrong... i just wanted to verify before i bought it

I really don't know to be honest, which is why I suggested you get in touch with Pocket PC Techs and ask them. ;-)
