View Full Version : The problem with spam blockers

I sometimes get request for support emails, which I answer to my best abilities.

Soon after I get a (polite) message from a spamblocker address, kindly informing me that "person x only allows verified addresses to send emails" and that "I should click on this link to verify that I am not an adbot".

Fair enough, I respect the wish of people not to be bothered with spam so I click on the link and fill out the form and enter the code from the little picture.

I've never gotten this to confirm that I am a real person - even if I try do do it five or six times. At this point I give up, left with no way to inform the person I can't email them.

So "John" who is using earthlink for spam screening: This is why I can never answer you. Earthlink just doesn't let me verify that I am a person.
