Windows Mobile 5.0 Question

I have an rx3115 pocket pc. I noticed that HP started selling upgrade kits for WM 5.0 for the HX series. If I bought one, would i be able to install it on my current PPC? There is not a serial number required for the purchase. Any input on this would be appreciated.

No. Upgrades only work on a specific model due to customization of drivers and so forth, and HP refused to provide an upgrade the 3000 series.

The only pre-Windows Mobile 5.0 iPAQs receiving a Windows Mobile 5.0 upgrade are the hx2000 series and the hx4700 (although it won't be receiving its upgrade until next year). Sadly, the rx3000 series missed out.

Thanks. This whole not being able to upgrade my OS on my pda is a little annoying. Wish they'd just start selling the upgrades to the general public. Anyway, thanks for the info.
