Battery icon in taks bar

I seem to have lost my battery icon in my taksbar on my laptop.

Can anyone tell me how to get i back? I#m using Windows XP.

This is definitely a bug in Windows XP...I've had that disappear on my taskbar as well. Actually, it's missing right now.

First, make sure it should be showing. Start > Control Panel > Power Options, Advanced tab, make sure "Always show icon on the taskbar" is checked.

If that doesn't work, log off and back on and it should reappear.

I did a shutdown and cold start and it came back.
