Are you referring to Windows Media Player on the desktop or Pocket PC?

Either way, the media library is heavily dependent on media files bearing tagged information. If you have a media file without a proper Artist, Album, Track Title, etc. embedded within the file, things start getting messy. You can only really edit the order of the Now Playing playlist. To do this, there are up and down arrows located in the bottom toolbar to help you sort your tracks. It's tedious, I know, but that's how basic Windows Media Player Mobile is.
