Hi,

I am converting from a palm T3 which I have mainly used for PIM only.
I am considering a HP 4700 or a Dell and just wonder if you would consider buying a Dell again if you were in the market for a new PPC?

What is the biggest Plus for the Dell and the largest grievence as well?

Cheers,

Confusedxx

I can't comment on the X51 as I am a happy X50v owner. I will upgrade to WM5 soon, so not much difference. I have owned 3 IPAQs 3600 and 3700 series and 3 Dells 2 X5s and 1 X50. There is definitly more bang for the buck with Dell. They have good customer support and they offer frequent updates and upgrades. While the IPAQs were a little slicker design wise, their preformace was not as good and battery life stunk. There were no replaceable batteries in those early models.

Barring a converged device that really meets my fancy, I will probably buy the future Dell high end model in a couple of years to replace my current one.

Now, there are TONS of threads of 4700 vs. x50/x51v already. You will find lots of infomation by just doing some searches. But to save you some time, I can tell you that all the thread I read concluded that x50v/x51v is a much better device. I'm EXTREMELY tired of writing out x50v's advantages and 4700's disadvantages already since there are TONs for each.

It's not considered polite to cross post the same thread in the same forum (not to mention Patrick is right - a search would've yielded a lot of info).
