Guys, I'm going to be in New Hampshire soon and was wanting to pick up various bit of computer equipment. Could you recommend a few good computer stores in the State? I know about Comp USA, but they don't have what I am looking for (Athlon X2 3800+, 7200rpm 120Gb laptop hard drive etc.). Your recommendations would be much appreciated. :)

What's the closest major NH city you'll be next to?

I'll be travelling all over, so any would do. I'm going leaf-peeping. :D

After a little research, it seems only compusa (http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=317403&pfp=BROWSE) and bestbuy (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=6884142&type=product&id=1095432668959) have a 100gb seagate 5400rpm notebook hard drive. And circuit city has the athlon x2 4000 (http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/AMD-Athlon-64-4000-Processor-AMDADA4000ASB-/sem/rpsm/oid/130517/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do), and compusa has the x2 4200 (http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=333929&pfp=BROWSE).

That's about all I could find from all the major retailers that have store(s) in NH. I'm sure there's non-chain computer stores around too. One I found was Computer Renaissance (compren.com)

Their info:
COMPUTER RENAISSANCE
883 HANOVER ST, MANCHESTER, NH 03104
Phone: (603) 624-3779

Also found a Apex Computer store in NH (http://www.apexnh.com)

This link will let you search for computer stores in any specified city in NH (http://yp.yahoo.com/py/yploc.py?&clr=ypResults&stp=y&stx=8104673&desc=Computer+Stores&qtx=&tab=B2C&country_in=us) (includes website links if the store has any)

Computer Stores in Nashua, NH (using link above) (http://yp.yahoo.com/yp/Nashua_NH/Computers_and_Internet_Computer_Stores/8104673.html)

Hopefully that'll get you to a good start :)

Thanks for that Mscdex. That's about all I could find as well. However, I really am looking for the 7,200 rmp hard drive and the x2 4000 is a fair bit more than the x2 3800.

Yes, it's that kind of independed retailer I am looking for - but one that stocks large 7200rpm laptop hard drives etc which these guys don't. :?

Hopefully that'll get you to a good start :)

Cheers for that. :) I will keep hunting. Any more suggestions from New Hampshire PPCTers?

Or, is there a search engine that will let me search for good computer stores in New Hampshire? I tried pricerunner, but they only seemed to have mail order vendors.
