PPC Noob needs help... gmail and outlook.

I set my gmail up and I can receive emails fine from gmail. Should I be able to send email from that pop3 account? I just get a "Messge could not be sent. Check that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct. Then try sending again" wen I compose a message and click send/rcv
I am using an audiovox 6600.

I had the same problems. In fact I no longer download my gmail mails to the PDA, preferring to go straight to the mail website.

After checking all your settings, try switching off POP access at gmail and then setting it all up again. It may work but it'll probably cause problems again in the future.

The gmail help forum contains hundreds of posts about POP problems, maybe you'll find a solution there, too.
