Interesting comparison, but I don't think I would have needed a formal test to figure out a full PC, installed in the car, would work better than a PPC. More power, bigger screen, greater variety of software (this might not be so true anymore). Besides the drawback of the fixed installation (not portable), there is also the cost. That setup is $1138.80 (USD). Not to bad really, but you are comparing it to around $500 of PPC and GPS.
