Other noteworthy additions include cut and paste support, partial full screen support, landscape support, noticeable speed tweaks, a new settings window, and HTTP proxy support. The list of available Minimo downloads can be found here.

Why no x50v support yet. The axim has a huge user base, seems like they would want to get that working soon  Oh well, I can't complain too much though since it is open source (free).

Still doesn't work on my sx66. a very early version did but the last few releases have not. At least i get an error this time. Says it canot find an important part of itself. It was installed to interal memory. Freaking HUGE though. Not worth it yet. especially since it doesn't run. lol

The x50v people over at AximSite say it's because of some incompatible Dell DLL.

Darn. Something is wrong with this release. Wont really load up on my rx3715...

EDIT: Whops, did load from card but not from filestore.

The browser part is looking really good... If only it would be atleast 70% faster. Typing three letters takes like 2 seconds.

does it work on JASJAR?

We'll find out in a little bit - I'm downloading it now, and will install it and report. Keep an eye on www.tinyscreenfuls.com for the results. :)

No joy on my i-mate JASJAR/HTC Universal with WM5. Installed to SD card (since it wants 12MB), but when I try to launch, it fails with a generic error dialog saying that minimo or one of its components are missing, and to try to stop any programs that are running and try again. *sigh*

Can't wait for this reach a usable fersion, or for one of the brute force VGA hacks to be updated, so I can browse in real VGA...

For the record, it goes slowly then stops on my very simple ipaqs 1935/45.

It's not doing my x30 any favors, that's for sure. It's a little slower than the regular Firefox (I've come to use Maxthon- no other browser can touch it), and it crashed on me too quickly. Of course, I was trying to do something specific, so it may not be Minimo's fault exactly. I'm starting Flexnet classes at the University of Phoenix, and Pocket IE does me no favors in accessing the online classroom. Actually, I just found that if I put my PPC in landscape mode with IE in "default", I can get into the section I need to. I'd rather do one column in portrait, but beggars can't be choosers...

Got an error the first time on my hx4705. Did a soft reset and the program launched althought it took about 3 days to come up. Definitely not ready for prime time yet.

Minimo takes up some serious space. I think it has to copy a 12M cab file over, then it installs the program. I tried to install it in my Built In Storage, which has 15 Megs free, and it filled up. I'm trying to reinstall at work this morning, where I have some time to mess around with it. With small children, it's very hard to troubleshoot or wring out software problems at home.

I'll wait for the next release to try it again. The install went well. For some reason, it installs two shortcuts in your Programs menu, "Minimo" and "Minimo(2)". I'm not sure what the purpose is. Also, as soon as I log on to the University of Phoenix online campus, it crashes. At least Pocket Internet Exploder will log on and not crash, although it becomes useless and for some reason will not load the weekly pages.

Yup, it doesn't support HTTPS yet.

That would explain it. Thanks.

it actually creates one shortcut in programs and one on the start menu. but if you are like me and already have the maximum amount of shortcuts on the start menu windows moves it and renames it the instant you hit start. this is with wm2003se only i believe.

I get the same thing on WM5 on my Universal, so I don't think it's limited to WM2003.

hehe ok, silly new os guess i should have said only on wm2003se and later. ;) i don't think 2003 and earlier did this to the start menu. something they added with screen rotation to prevent menu scrolling.
i think. :)
