HTC Wizard Coming Sooner Than Expected?

This is earlier than the October date that we <a href="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=42345">speculated on earlier</a>, although it's entirely possible Cingular itself may not carry the device until then (if at all).<br /><br />In addition, PPCT reader Paragon writes in with his good news: <i>"I managed to get one of <a href="http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=709483">20 being shipped to MadMonkeyBoy</a> (David Weiniger) He says he is told they will be shipped to him next week, so it looks like the Wizard MAY be available sooner than we thought."</i> If this is indeed the case, it suggests HTC is ahead of production schedule, and the Wizard does look like a great device. 8)

It does look like a great device, but the processor is just too low. I'm dying to see some benchmarks on it.

Well, it's beginning to look like delivery may be pushed back a month. We won't know for sure till tomorrow, but it is looking that way. Such is life on the edge. ;)

I don't know exactly where in the Middle East you are. If you are anywhere near Dubai and can go to the Gitex show the last week of Sept. this is where iMate release their devices, and you can usually buy them right there at the show.

im in qatar.. never been to gitex but im guessing since imate introduces these ppcphones at gitex as you say ..do they sell at a higher price than when the devices are released as usual? is this true or not

If I may, Mad Monkey Boy (David Weiniger) is very reliable and trustworthy. I've bought a bunch of things from him. He actually offered refunds to all that pre-ordered from him once he realized that the ship date was pushed back.

To the poster from Qatar, I would write him and see what the shipping costs may be to ship there.

From what I have been told there are usually a couple of resellers in the show with limited stock. In the past the price has usdually been the current market price. If you want to know a bit more try pocketpcdubai.com they are in Dubai and always go to the show.

Otherwise MadMonkeyBoy is a very reliable supplier, and I know he will ship worldwide.
