Hi all, New to PPC.
I was wondering if you can update the PPC version of windows the same way you can the Desktop version of XP. I see there is version 5 out.

Nope, you can't, unless your device receives a WM5 upgrade specifically tailored at it.

And FYI, the main devices receiving upgrades are HP's hx2000 and hx4700 series, Dell's X50/X50v series, and Fujitsu-Siemens' LOOX 718 and 720 series.

If a ROM update is released for your device, it will typically be posted on the manufacturer's web site. As far as the OS is concerned, be careful to only download updates that are shown as usable on your device. Trying to flash with a ROM image meant for another device may leave you with a dead PPC.
