Hi all I was just wondering what the currant frame of mind is on converged or non-converged devices. Which do you prefere!

a pda paired with bluetooth works for me. the convergence type devices have some shortcommings, and if the engineers solve these problems, i will change my mind.
-there is no convergence device with dual expansions
-built in wifi is very command in non-convergent devices but rare with WM phone edition
-there is only htc universal with VGA screen. but hey, the device is huge!
-if you run out of battery, you loose your phone too

All things being equal, I'd love a converged device. Unfortunately, there are always too many features lacking. I'm willing to compromise on phone features, but not on PPC features. I currently have an iPAQ 4700 and a Sprint bluetooth phone with free Vision (internet access); I use the phone maybe 20% as a phone and 80% as a modem. Now that Sprint is bringing out higher speed service, I'm afraid they'll cripple all the bluetooth phones and I don't know what I'll do then.

I voted "No - A PPC and Bluetooth phone," but I wouldn't have a device without both Bluetooth and WiFi.
