First let me qualify what I am about to say by making it clear I do a lot of beta testing, for both commercial and hobbyist software, I also am a professional developer ...

I downloaded and installed the VGA version of Fizz Weather to my Toshiba E830, and found it virtually impossible to use. It looks fantastic, but it runs very slowly and the interface gives little impression that it has actually been tested on a vga device.

Perhaps the issue is that I run 'true' VGA using SE_VGA, rather than leaving the machine on the default 'pretend' VGA setting. Either way, the software runs more like an untested alpha version than a beta version, and as such this makes it impossible to test on my setup. I look forward to seeing improved versions as they are released, but right now it is too painful and time-consuming to try to get it to work ...

Before you ask, yes I am posting these comments, and more detailed information about what is not working to the developer!

I tested it with my machine set to the default "pretend" VGA and now the interface works far better. Software still runs very slow (debug code no doubt) but now at least it is usable.

Im running it on an SPV M2000 (Blue Angel) and it runs perfectly well.

One advantage to not having vga I suppose

:D

They already posted a fix for the VGA issues .... I think right now it's a file they only sent to me, but you can be sure the fix will be in the next version.

Very nice software.
