The new technology will allow for up to 8GB of data to be stored on a single Flash chip, meaning devices will stay the same size while their storage capacities will be vastly increased. The 4-gigabit Flash memory chip will allow for 40 percent more chips to be put on each wafer of silicon."</i><br /><br />Most people don't realize this, but Samsung is one of the biggest players in the Flash market, with a 56% share of the total market. This capacity and speed boost will not only benefit our devices, but we'll probably see this advancement make it's way into the hybrid Flash hard drives Samsung has announced (which is fantastic news for us laptop owners).
