The author was able to recharge a dead cell phone twice off of one external battery charge, and it appears small enough to fit into even the most conservative packer's gadget bag. The price is a bit high, at 65 Euro ($81) but if power is something you crave, it may be something you're interested in.

Imo, the socket product looks better on paper (and otherwise), even if it costs twice as much.

There is an external 3.6V, 3600mAh battery pack for PSP that retails for $15.49. It works fine with the iPAQ adapter:
