Best phone and fastest network in the USA

I've been happily using my T-Mobile PPC for 2+ years now but I think its time to upgrade.

Whats the fastest network out there? I hear Verizon has near broadband speeds... Is this true?

Which PPC phone are people favoring? I'm thinking about the Audiovox 6600....

Any word on the HTC IV?

In some areas, yes, they have CDMA 1xEVDO, which peaks around 300-500kbps. It's primarily in big cities right now; everywhere else, Verizon devices drop to 1xRTT, which is 60-100kbps.

If you want an EVDO Pocket PC Phone, your only choice right now is indeed the XV6600. As per our frontpage, though, the Samsung i730 is apparently around the corner, and is an attractive option as well.

Any word on the HTC IV?
Not yet. They're saying late summer/fall in Germany, unclear about the rest of the world at this time.
