Hey Everyone,

Can anyone recommend a good working Instant messenger program that incorporates AOL IM, YAHOO and MSN? (With the exception of IMOV). I was looking for a "freebie" if one is available. I currently have AOL IM (UK VERSION) and Yahoo's IM on my VX6600.

Thanks!

Awesome program... but do you know why AIM is sometimes picky?
Especially in not-so-good reception areas... it just keeps saying, "connecting, connecting, connecting..." And never does. Sometimes, it asks me for my ID/password again.
I use it somewhat regularly, so it can't have been deactivated... also, I can use Trillian on the desktop for AIM just fine. But Agile Messenger on the WM2003se PPC doesn't always work for AIM. Yahoo, the main messenger I use, is usually fine.

I'm not entirely sure. AIM isn't used a lot in Australia which is why I've hardly touched that IM platform. Perhaps you should check the AIM connection settings in Agile to ensure that they are up to date.

What settings can be set for AIM?
The other day, when it told me there was an update for AgileMessenger, I updated it.
But even before updating, it didn't work properly.
Ah, well...

Hi!
I just installed the messenger on my qtek 9090 with win mobile 2003se. the tool is really great, but:

When I forget to exit the messenger, and there's no WLAN-access, then the messenger establishes a GPRS-connection. Thats not really good. There should be a setting "Login when connection established" instead of "login at startup".

What do you think?

MSN Messenger 7 does this in a great way. When I switch on the PPC and there is a WLAN access, then MSN Mess. 7 connects itself. When there's no WLAN access, then it doesn't. :D

BYE!

Hello,

I tried the messenger you mentioned above. Though, this version seems to work only through ActiveSync. Is any other that used direct WLAN acess?

Unfortunately, not that I'm aware of. I've not touched Y! Messenger in years, so a decent Pocket PC version is something I've never been keeping an eye out for.
