Anyone know how Pocket PhoneTools 4 compares with KSE Truefax 2004 (http://www.ksesoftware.com/showarticle.php?id=26)?

I just downloaded the trial of Pocket Phone Tools 4 and attempted to use it on my SX66. It doesn't appear to support Phone Edition Pocket PCs, as it wasn't able to locate the modem, nor would it allow me to configure it manually.

When I sought technical support via BVRP's forum, I noticed two different Phone Edition Pocket PC users requesting support, with the moderator asking them what phone they were using with their Pocket PCs. Wouldn't you think by now that a developer of software for the Pocket PC would have heard that the Phone Edition devices come with a phone built right in? Time warp back to the year 2001 folks!

I would like to try this program - how did you get a trial version?
Do you know if it works with a SE K700i?

I would also like to know if it can transfer my contacts info to my phone - including all the fields that the 700i supports

There are 3 different programs from BVRP which are named closely:
Pocket PhoneTools 4 Pro
Pocket PhoneTools 4 Fax
Pocket PhoneTools 4 SMS

What you call "Pocket PhoneTools 4" is in fact "Pocket PhoneTools 4 Fax"

Chronologically "Pocket PhoneTools 4 Pro" was the first product that includes both fax and SMS features. Then they "extracted" or split it into "Pocket PhoneTools 4 SMS" and "Pocket PhoneTools 4 Fax" while keeping the original with both functionalities.

The complete version with both SMS and Fax capabilities costs $49.90.

This one can be bought until the end of April 05 with 25% rebate as part of both Pocket Informant and VITO Technology promotions for $37.42.

Every Pocket Informant and/or VITO Technology (possibly also other vendors) customer should have received that promotional mail with the relative code and other offers. (PM me if you didn't recveive the mail or already trashed it).

Note that the code does NOT work for the French version of PP4Pro, only the English one.

Also note that the Pro version also includes an Internet Connections Manager with data logger and a Dialler with calls logger.

Just wondering if the SMS module supports SMS messages from a CDMA network such as Verizon wireless.
