SERIOUS problem with 5455, please HELP!

My friend's 5455 has lots of problems ever since he bought it at Ebay.
When he just got his 5455, WLAN won't turn on until he upgraded it to WM2003. However, he still has tons of problem with connections.
Besides the problem with WLAN, there were some small problems with other things.
Recently, he got a even bigger problem. The charging and connection port at the bottom of the device is dead! He is unable connect his keyboard, cable , cradle to the device. :cry:

Try the normal cure-all for that device. With the iPaq turned off, pop the battery off for about 10 seconds, then put it back on and power the ipaq back up.

No data should be lost in this procedure (thanks to the iPaq's backup battery) but back up the iPaq before hand, just to be safe.

He can get the connection unit located at the bottom of the IPAQ repaired. I had to after one of my kids was using it as an IPOD and dropped it. It worked fine after that.
