due to a SNAFU I have an icon in my Programs for an app that I have removed from my PPC -- I used to know how to get rid of a thing like this... right now it eludes me. A little help? Thanks in Advance!

Navigate to Windows\StartMenu\Programs, find the .lnk file for the removed app, and delete it. You're done.
