I sent this to Logitech and they did not know the answer.
"Can the Bluetooth Mobile Freedom Headset model F-0228A be used with a Bluetooth enabled IPAQ 2215 with Windows CE 2003? I am looking to play media files through the headset. HP does make IPAQ headphones, they are too big and I prefer to cover only one ear. I have purchased the above Headset and I attempt to sync and receive the error on the IPAQ: Device (the headset) does not offer any useable services. It does see a device IPAQ calls Logitech HS02-V07 then the line under that reads: unknown device type 00:0D:44:2F:18:63. I am so close to great useable technology, any help would be very much appreciated." It seems to be one of those so close but so far things.
Thx

Have you found and applied the headset hack to the 2215? It exposes the headset/handsfree profile in the BT manager. After that when you go for a new item, you would select that profile to start the appropriate pairing.

You won't be particularly thrilled with the quality if you are looking to listen to music. Audio Books, and such is OK. The profile is designed for voice.

The HP headphones come with an A2DP (advanced data distribution profile, or something like that) which is designed for audio at a better quality.

There is a registry key you can enable on some iPAQs (including the 2215) that makes it recognize the bluetooth profile. From hack a day (http://handhelds.hackaday.com/entry/1234000010025644/):

there is a reg. key you can edit to enable bluetooth headsets on ipaq.
put 1 insted of 0 in:

HKeyLocalMchine\SOFTWARE\Widcomm\BtConfig\Services\0005\Enabled=1

and add a DWORD Enabled=1 Enabled=1 to

HKeyLocalMchine\SOFTWARE\Widcomm\BtConfig\Services\0006

However, I did this, and it works, but the quality leaves much to be desired. I just wanted it for listening to podcasts and that sort of thing, not even music, but I found the quality unusable.

Thanks for the information. Think I will return the Logitech Headset and move towards the HP Bluetooth Stereo Headphones. Here are a couple of reviews. $100 and they have some issues.
