Because of the change to the Core Navigation Engine, the review covers both TomTom Navigator 5 for Pocket PC and TomTom Navigator 5 for Palm OS. The new TomTom Bluetooth GPS Receiver that forms part of the package was not reviewed, because the hardware was not ready yet. All-in-all, Navigator 5 seems to be impressive and many outstanding niggles with the previous version have been addresses with this update. There's no word yet as to whether Navigator 5 will be offered for sale as a stand-alone product, or if you can only get it with the bundled GPS receiver and SD card.
