Very nice laptop. I'm in the market for a desktop-replacement laptop in the next three months, so I'll definitely consider that one. I may post on PPCT later asking for suggestions.

The dv1000 isn't meant to be a desktop replacement - if that's what you're looking for, you probably want something in the zd8000 range...
