 How nice, the early retirements did not satisfy the cost cutters at my company. I am now laid off. I may be able to go back to being paid per call for the same company, but that's all I've got.

Sorry to hear that happened to you. I do hope things work out best for you in the future though.

At least you have your 4700.
:D
Hope things work out for you. Maybe you can help some other associates to think about retiring, like send them brochures for Hawaii or some other tropical paradise. Hey, you never know.

Right there with ya buddy!

I got the axe a few months ago from a major financial institution. Although I was told I was done on November 30th and later escorted out of the building that same day (as expected, I had lots of access and was a security risk), my official release date was December 13th... MY BIRTHDAY, of all the $#%@$# DAYS!

Happy Freakin' Birthday! :D

Of all the days? My wedding anniversary is this Sunday. Last year, I was laid off about the same time (my brief forray in construction).

I was informed that I cannot return to being paid per call for at least 6 months...something about corporate policy. Thanks QualxServ! Now what am I going to do?!?

Only out of work for one week and I'm already climbing the walls! I really wish I could get a little motivation to study...2 exams from MCSE 2000.

What exams have you got to do?

70-219 and probably 70-220. Case study design exams  ...they are the worst.

I never did 70-219 but I did do 70-220. It wasn't easy but if you know the case studies it's a okay.

I used the Cramsession books which helped. But I made sure I knew the cases studies first.

Having said I needed 600 points and got 600 points! 8O

Just make sure you know the cases studies.

Being a MCSE opened quite a few jobs for me so hopefully would do the same for you.

...needed 600 and scored 600? You don't inspire me with confidence in my own abilities.

Yeah I know.

But I've never failed one. I made a few mistakes and rushed the questions. I've never been one for siting and going over the exam a second time. With 220 I wish I had.

But for every other exam that was scored (four of them) I got a minimum of 950/1000 :)

Must be nice...the last few tests I took were when they were pass-fail, so who knows how I did :<.

Certainly was. I've got to get cracking on the 2003 upgrade and then onto MSDBA.
