E750 Belkin keyboard - works with E830?

Anyone know if my Belking keyboard, bought direct from Toshiba, will work with the E830? In other words do the two machines share the same connection socket?

AFAIK, the answer is no. The 700 and 300 series can share many accessories; the 800 and 400 series can share many as well. But the two groups can't interchange accessories that are dependent on the exact alignment of the connectors at the bottoms since the two groups align them differently and I believe there are also differences in the serial/USB connectors used on the devices.

Boo hiss!!

I thought I saw someone say they were using the same expansion pack that fits on the 750 - the usb/vga expansion pack. Must have been mistaken.

I wish the e8xx had the same connector as the e7xx. I bought a ton of accessories for my e750 that are now collecting dust.

I have the 830 in my hands now and I compared the expansion pack and the keyboard - no go as you all know now.
